    • Joyce, I agree that this was wonderful to post. I know that, in my personal experiences, there was often a feeling of desperate hopelessness. It wasn’t so much that I had been so deeply in love with the second exspath – it was the depth of betrayals that he perpetrated that created so much angst. I don’t personally care if I ever even date, again, but the trust issues, PTSD, and all of the other issues that were opened up have often been seemingly too much to bear. But, they weren’t. I’m still here. I’m still doing the work. And, I’m “getting there” one nano-meter at a time……

      Thanks for the post!!!

  1. Focusing on the positive things and reminding ourselves to do so, I think is a continuing thing that we must do…not forget where we have been, but to focus more on the future and the good things that we still have, not the losses of the past.

  2. When you focus on what you want, where you’re going in life and things you want to do, it becomes clear, HOW to make it happen. The rest? The bad, the hurt, the loss and the heartache all seem to fade away to make room for the good things to come.

Besides, we all know that moving on in our lives, putting the spath and all of their crap behind us, leaving it at the curb for the local rubbish man to haul away… That’s what hurts them the most. Living well is the best revenge!
